Our mission at The South Carolina Chargers is to develop skilled, well-rounded athletes in a competitive, positive environment. Our program is designed to equip athletes with the skills, mindset, and experience needed to compete at the next level, ensuring they are ready to take on new challenges and opportunities in their baseball journey. Our Coaches
Joe Lizza
Joe played college baseball at the University of New Haven, where led UNH to the Division II College World Series. Post college, Joe has coached both the High School and AAU levels, coaching at Newtown High School and Shelton High School in Connecticut, as well as coaching the for the CT Bombers AAU Program.
Jason Ostrowski
Jason played college baseball for 2 years at UConn Avery Point, before finishing his college baseball career at Post University. Jason also earned certifications as a Sports Nutrition Coach and Personal Training, Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Charlie Huegi
Charlie played college baseball at the University of Massachusetts where he was a 4 year starter and helped lead the Beacons to the Division III College World Series twice. Following his college career, Charlie coached for the AAU Baseball Program the A’s in Massachusetts.
Rob Capobianco
A former Bryant University baseball player, Rob brings a lifelong passion for the game to his coaching. He has coached numerous youth baseball teams and served on various baseball boards, helping shape players both on and off the field. Professionally, Rob is an executive at Nomura Capital Management, blending his love of baseball with strong leadership and mentorship.
